Deputy Officer

Supervise detainees to insure their safety and security, based on the facility’s rules and regulations. Officers may process new arrestees, assist in provision of programs and services, or work inside housing areas with detainees awaiting trial and those serving short sentences. Officers engage in problem-solving, manage inmate behavior, communicate and enforce the jail’s rules, link inmates to services offered in the facility, and are vigilant to security issues.
